Have you tried contacting Aston Martin themselves ? (i.e. head office / factory). There's probably not many of them around, and Aston may know of some. If they dont, I'm sure they'll be able to advise a reputable place to go!

bit aprehensive about prices, but hey, you only live once (or is that twice)

thinking of more questions... what about others Astons? classic, not new.

www.amoc.org

it's the official aston martin owners club. on there they have a car search, which throws up this

There are an incredible range in prices on that site - and I unfortunately know nowhere near enough about the car to say why. A good start will be to chat to the Aston Martin Owners Club people (there is a forum there too which is here tho it does seem to be down at the moment.

It's an amazing car - a true dream car for me too, so I am exceedingly jealous !!

Good luck with it, and I'm certain the owners club will be able to give you a VERY detailed overview.

Good luck, my fingers are crossed for you !

Tony

(PS: If/when you buy, and you then come over to England, remember me for a ride won't you .... !)

difficult question, that! I think a DB5 has to be the all time classic - but then you can start looking at DB2's, 4's, 6's, Vantages.....really depends what sort of look you are going for.

My personal opinion is that the DB5 is a perfect car (in terms of modern day). It's immediately recognisable, STILL looks stunning even in this modern day, and will be something you will be very proud of for sure!!

Jeff contact Desmond Smail in Olney, Buckinghamshire. He is a great dealer in classic DB models. He supplied the Silver Aston DB5's for the recent James Bond films too.

Try Richard Williams in Cobham, Surrey or Nicholas Mee in London. Trust me, you wont get a better car than from these two dealers.

Thankyou so much for all your help... i'd LOVE the cabriolet, looking at the prices i may be able to get one next year, more pennies to save...
and if i do get one soon tony, i'll drop you a mail and give you a blast.

have a dream car at the moment, a beautiful TVR, now i've achieved that goal, the last one i have is the FINAL dream, the unmistakeable DB5...

i will get on, that much i know, as to the time, well... time will tell.

Again, thankyou all so much
