My 8yr old nephew is going to be best man at his mum and dads wedding. He is a huge Vanquish fan, and the opportunity of a small trip in one would make his life. As a thankyou to him for being best man I would like to see if I could arrange this for him. If anyone would be so kind to do this, I would be eternally grateful. The wedding is in Windsor at the end of October. Could you email me from my link.

Regards

Unforch I am in USA at the time. Ok, I dont have a Vanquish, but a V8 Vantage is a better car anyway :-)

I have to agree with you, I prefer a V8 vantage, but he likes a Vanquish due to the Jimmy Bond connection. Alternatively, as long as the car is not in the states with you I could take it for a run so it does not feel neglected!!!

I think I will have to open it up to any Aston Martin rather than just a vanquish, can anyone help ?

I'll let you have a go in my TVR !!!

If it is because of the Julius Bond connection, show him Living daylights, that should make a connection

The picture above shows AM vantage on the information board..
I always thought JB used a regular AM V8,,that certainly looks like a normal non vantage model in the photo.
Unles of course ther is a button that you press on the gearknob and it turns into a vantage?

/bore mode on

The film uses two Astons; the first (the convertable) is a Volante (actually the then MD's own car: Victor Gauntlett, who was asked to be a KGB agent but declined)

The second is the one we see here. It is known as a pre-body Vantage, and has the vantage engine but no bodywork panels. The actual car was registered HLF 53T, so was before the Vantage was launched. If was fitted with the Vantage engine as an aftermarket mod. by the service department.

The side skirts were operated by a button IIRC. They actually look quite impressive on the picture

Williamp, that wasn't boring at all - I didn't knew that.
Didn't the late POW spec Vantages have lesser bodykit than the normal Vantages?
