Finalised the deal today so should have the car by early morning.

The car really did sell itself purely by how it looked and how it felt to sit in. You are definetly buying a lot of badge with this car. The engine felt stronge in the higher revs but very disappointing anywhere else. Cursing at 60mph in top gear nothing happens when you acclerate, it actually felt like a turbo car off spool. Even my E92 M3 which loves to be revved pulls twice as hard. Only a small gripe but strange from a V8, the car performed excellent on any road feeling alot lighter at the front than the rear.

The noise it makes is epic :-)

shes a 55 reg with 6500 miles

pictures to follow tomorrow

anyone local to north shropshire??

cheers guys,

i'm not an aston expert so please forgive the lack of offical spec,

its dark blue with a similiar interior colour.
19' alloys
sat nav
electric mirrors
heated seats
HID lamps
battery conditioner
cd changer
cant think of the others.

just had new disks and pads all round under warrenty

although the interior colour isn't to my liking I couldn't turn the car down after getting a good trade-in against the M3

Also could I be cheaky and ask you how much you paid for her?
I bought one a few months ago, however prices has softened since.
I am sure that you will be thrilled with your purchase, enjoy.

I paid 49,995, just been serviced as well. Warrenty runs out in December. Values seem pretty solid but from looking there aren't many that are selling. To think my balloon is 30K in 2 years. As I only cover 6000 miles a year that figure is very tempting.

Interesting by comparison the very best dealer price of a 55 plate in mid 06 was around £79k, a year later in March 07 trade-in value was £69k, looks good value at £49k!

congratulations, you got yourself an excellent deal. 3 months ago the car would have cost you an extra 5-8grand. I recently paid around 10k more for an 07 spec car!
Enjoy
By the way, what do you think of the car? Are you pleased?

the sale price was £49k? What's that about a ballon payment. Man, I wish I had been capable of 20-20 hindsight back in April... Hey ho. It's still the greatest car I've ever owned and makes me grin from ear to ear on a daily basis. Took her up to 151mph in DE. Felt planted, secure and gave me a cracking buzzz. The fact that I could get the same car for £10k less now matters not... ish

i managed to get a north wales trip in before i flew overseas for work, the car performed extremely well. It will never get chucked about like the M3 did. the gear change and clutch action took its tole on me but this sort of mechanical feel was exactly what the M3 lacked. the roads weren't suited to the firmness of the aston which highlighted a rattling parcel shelf (new one on order)

was a little disappointed from the lack of depth from the stereo, this isn't a big issue but when in cruise mode its nice to have a deep sound for my power ballards ;-)

never managed to remove our old friend 'fuse 22' before i came back to work so looking forward to doing so on my return. I only have to wait 4 weeks!!!

I came out of the M3 because it made financial sense to. the car didn't seem to know where its place in the market was (value wise) all trade-in prices were vastly different.

As a road car the car is plenty fast enough, I wouldn't dream or begin to entertain taking her on a track. the throttle response could do with being a little sharper. this would make the car feel quicker. There is such a contrast between the 2 V8's of the BM and aston.

overall guys i'm extremely pleased with my new addition to the family, ever since i was a kid [only 25 now :-) ] I've dreamt about owning an aston. Its lived up to all my expectations and more. theres a feel good factor about the car and others seem to enjoy it with you.

I'm also very disapointed with the sound system in the car.

I have been in contact with a ICE dealer in Cheltenham regarding an upgrade and an ipod integration system.

However otherwise they an an awesome car.

If you fancy an adrenalin kick try a LAMBO LP560!! Very impressive.
