Both sick and an example of sloppy journalism; they show a DB7 coupe which they claim is similar to the one owned by the chap. Similar yes but how difficult would it have been to get an image of a convertible DB7 which is even more similar rolleyes and... am I the only one who thinks this is a particularly selfish suicide? Like people who drive onto level crossings, kill yourself by all means but don't endanger innocent people, just gas yourself or something! eek

All suicides are intrinsically selfish - someone always has to 'clean up', as it were, and having done this myself it isn't exactly fun. Still, the overwhelming feeling I get is just one of sadness, and reading between the lines of that story it just sounds like another two people who can't sort their lives out, living through childish emotions and greed. Ho hum.

a) this is old news
b) probably best not to spout drivel about things you know nothing about.

Which bit of it is drivel? It's my opinion and is formed through personal experience in the first part of my paragraph and my comprehension of the story in the latter. Apologies of this doesn't tie in with whatever you've experienced but it doesn't mean I know 'nothing about' suicide. You have absolutely no clue whatsoever regarding my experience with death and suicide.

Edit: probably worth pointing out that, in regards to the 'selfish' comment (which is what has probably annoyed you? - in which case, apologies), I'm not casting aspersions on people (including their personality, rationale, worth etc.) who decide to commit suicide, just remarking that the act in itself is always selfish in some way - whether you're doing what that bloke did or filling your garage with carbon monoxide as the above poster outlined as a more 'acceptable' way of doing things. I've just read it back and it reads as if I'm remarking that the whole process is selfish, which is not true, of course - to reach that point at all kind of exempts that whole thought process - I'm not condemning it like some Daily Mail reader. All suicides are individual and yet all should be treated with the same amount of respect because regardless of method every act can have a massive impact on those around the person.
