Thanks, I noticed that. I just wondered if others thought the price reflected the mileage.
ie how strong are the engines, clutch drivetrain etc. I wouldn't mind paying a couple of thousand extra in six months for some things which may go wrong but wouldn't want to pay 5 or 10k for a new engine.
Can anyone shed any light on their durability? I guess that are not that many example with such a high mileage to judge?
It is in nice condition however so I imagine if I sold it in a few years a vantage in good condition with famsh wouldn't go below 15k bearing in mind the increasing interest in AM.
Any comments most welcome.
Thks

I saw a £25,000 DB7 Vantage from 2000 advertised privately a month back. It had done 40,000 miles and was mint, no catch- they are just losing value quicker these days. Shop around, you don't want a really high mileage one, when for a couple of thousand more you can have a better one.

Perhaps being pedantic, but lower mileage does not necessarily imply a better car on any performance car...

Condition is absolutely vital, then verifiably history (sheaves of receipts, detailed work info etc). After that, I'd be looking at spec and probably then mileage if no other differentiators.

Of course the general Joe Bloggs will typically always look at the odo' first. Not to say we shouldn't try educating everyone though smile

I was offered it and decided against. Ended up getting a cracker in Antrim blue and parchment 36k miles, rare manual in mint condition. Had a bit of an issue with front suspension but fixed at their cost. £30k, and got the best car care warranty as well.

Plenty about and cheap if you buy privately. Can probably get a really nice specialist example low milage sub £30k now. How are you going to sell the high milage car. Good luck anyway.

They're not great cars but loads of character and presence - beautiful. Bit cramped, steering a bit slow and some flakey design inside but I can't help but look back when I leave it. Mine has a sports exhaust and the noise is awesome on revs and burble on over run, amazingly not horrible when cruising. I use mine day to day. Glad I bought one but back to 911's in a year I think or maybe new M3.

Cheers

Would love to post a pic but no idea how to get one on.

Anyway - car great but offset in pedals proving to be a bit of a pain. I'm 6ft and have a recently dodgy left hip so struggling to get comfy. Would be gutted to sell it but unless things improve I'm going to have to - financially scary as well!

Cheers
