Gear box

The car I'm getting - hasn't had the gearbox tweak I've heard of to remedy the stiffness that can occur between first and second gear. What is that tweak (is it just replacing the gearbox oil?) and how easy is it to carry out? Should all cars have it done?

Gearbox oil change and a change to the linkage too. The dealer will do it in a couple of hours if I remember correctly.

Made a difference on my '07 car.

Thanks Whoami. Spoke to the dealer who's just checked his records again and in fact, it has already been done last year!
