DB9 Sportpack or V8V 4.7 Sportpack

Hello, I'm new to PHs, in fact new to the whole concept of internet forums (sheltered life and all that) but I'm a committed petrol head and was wondering if anyone had any advice on whether a slightly used DB9 with the sports suspension pack etc would be a better car from an all round driving/ownership perspective than the new V8 vantage 4.7 with sportpack?

First question to ask yourself is 'how many seats do I want?'. Second is 'do I want a V8 or a V12?'

Answer those and you will probably have a decision.

yep - the seats and engine is usually the decider...and whether you want a nice GT car or a 2 seater sportscar.

Both are as reliable these days, the DB9 will cost more to run from a servicing point of view (if you do a lot of miles per year)

thats about it really, they just about look the same inside and out

DB9= Classy GT with a sporting edge, two tiny rear seats, torque laden silky V12 for smooth but fast progress via an auto-box!

AMV8= Sports car for the driving, buy it if you want to hear the V8 howling as you rev it through the gears on the twisty stuff!

Decide if you want sports car or sports GT!
