V8 Vantage - Vibrating Sound At Low Revs

Having thought I had dealt with my share of mechanicals (a new clutch fitted under warranty) a new sound has now emerged to drive me nuts.
Specifically, at almost exactly 3.5k revs, a whirring or vibrating sound is clearly audible from the mid/rear of the car. Drop or raise the revs and it goes away. I know the answer - stay out of that rev range - but wondered if any of you had experienced something similar.
I have to say, having owned the car for 9months, I'm not sure I'm getting enough love to justify the emotional commitment required. Even above 4k revs.
