Heard of 'early' DB9 reliability problems, but what's meant by early. In other words, when is it generally perceived that reliability issues were ironed out?

My two have been pretty faultless. My current one is an 05. My first one was an 04. I think they are now very good in terms of reliability (pop over to the AMOC forum and ask). Some early cars had problems but now have had the necessary work done under warranty.

Mine is an Apr 05 which has been faultless. I would say the 04 are the early ones but as AZ is saying, as most of the issues were dealt with through an upgrade of the software during scheduled services I would not be too worried even buying an 04 provided it has been well looked after. In general high mileage ones are the better ones in my opinion.
