Before I travel all the way to the nearest Aston dealer to test drive a V8 can anyone advise if (at 6'-5" - with a fairly lengthy torso as opposed to long legs smile) I will fit comfortably in it?

Many thanks!

I'm 6'2'' and had a blast in one today with a helmet on if that's any help, seemed to be bags of room.

I also had a go in a 360 and a 911, both of which I've driven before, but the car I was really looking forward to was a Gallardo.

I've had a go in a few DB7's, and didn't get on with them so didn't expect to enjoy the V8. I was totally wrong, maybe the Gallardo takes some getting used to and to be fair it is much more of a car, but the V8 was so accessible from the off I fell in love straight away.

6'4" here but probably slightly longer in the leg.

I think you'll be OK, but will need to have a god play with the seat and steering wheel.

I recline my seat back quite a bit which actually pulls the seat cushion forwards and up at the front a bit. With the steering wheel all the way up, I just fit leg-wise. Probably an inch or so to spare of headroom.

Make sure you play with all sorts of adjustment, even those that don't seem too intuitive (like nudging the seat forward a bit before pushing it down). And make sure you also play with the lumbar supports to help with a bit of support.

A car with memory seats (07 model year onwards) would be a plus as you can easily get your seat back to a decent position if someone mucks with it. Also, the seats changed for model year 07. Might be worth seeing if you can try both (I prefer the 07 seats, but others go the other way).

The car is worth spending time getting to fit.
