10k Mile Service Costs
Discussion
OK, just got mine back...
Was in at HWM. Great bunch of guys who attended to everything I wanted attended to. Note that you have to book a good couple of weeks in advance with them though, so plan ahead (at least, that's what I call planning ahead ).
Nitty gritty - 10k mile service = 635.46GBP all in.
I was pleasantly surprised tbh - never had a Ferrari service that cost that little!
Number of items had to be sorted under warranty (door handle wasn't returning properly, boot seal mod needed doing, headlamps needed modding to prevent misting, some trim had bubbled a bit and they've hopefully cured the farting noise at startup), but none were show stoppers on the car. I'd just been building a list for them to sort at this service. All were sorted properly, but it extended the time taken (took a week in total) as they waited for a few parts.
Still got 6mm of tread all round on the tyres and the brakes aren't in need of replacing (which according to their service charts means they have >60% of original material on them).
Onwards and upwards...the Aston experience continues to put a smile on my face.

I recently had mine done aswell (16,000km). Car is in fact already over 20,000km now, and nothing to report. Tyres and brakes still got plenty left on 'em. The oil pressure release valve fix was done under warranty (the "farting noise" on startup) as was the gearbox oil and linkage replacement for 1st and 2nd (slightly longer activation lever on the gearbox side).
Additional items sorted out at my cost was to repaint all of the wheels (bad carwash experience), this is the R2500.00 extra shown. Presently it is around 14.77 South African Rands to the British Pound. This brings the total bill to around 545 pounds including the mag repair of approx 170 pounds. Not too bad then!
Here's my bill from my dealer. As with Murph, the whole experience continues to be a pleasure.

Is "hopefully cured the farting noise at startup" when you twist the key but before you press the start button there's a farty noise from the rear of the vehicle? What is it?
No, it was after I'd been moving a little way (i.e. 15secs or so after starting up).I'm pretty sure it was the oil pressure relief valve as mentioned above, but they also changed something on the power steering (think it was a belt).
Sounded like a farting/mid-pitched groaning noise. Never lasted long (hence me thinking it was the oil pressure relief valve), and suspect I might miss the noise if it's truly gone
