AMV8 Ownership Costs?

The old man in is looking for a new car at the moment around the price bracket of the AMV8. He's already looking at the R8 (with a view to getting a V10 version) and the 997 TT.

I talked to him about the AMV8, but he seems to have got the idea from somewhere that they're very expensive to own?

So, depreciation aside, are they significantly more expensive to maintain than their German rivals?

If he can afford to buy it, the running costs will not be a problem.

Servicing is once a year or 10,000 miles. A 10k service will be around £700. Tyres will do between 15 and 20k depending on how big his boots are.

Will average about 17mpg.
