I kerbed an alloy and had it repaired. The repair guys deflated the tyre all the way and then re-inflated. I have checked the pressure (cold) and it's in the correct range. But the tyre pressure monitor warning light will not turn off - even though the pressure is right.

Is there a way to reset the system or do I face a trip to the dealer to fix it??

Let's get real

You do I am afraid. It may have damaged the sensor, as normally it would reset itself in a few hundred yards.

Yes - sounds like the sensor is damaged.
