Hi guys!

I need little info on the DB9 Volante. I know in certain press, it's said not to be as pretty as the hard top, or indeed as fast, but the Volante version is the one in question here smile

Are there any issues to be aware of regarding the Volante version, or are these cars still too young for anything mjor to have cropped up?
One of the biggests issues is speed humps. Can the nose clear them? A couple of sales people I've spoken to give resounding "Yes", but what are owner's views as to this claim?

If there are any other things that you think I should know, would be greatfully appreciated.

Many thanks,

Darren

I have the db9 convertible. It's great - no problems so far.
Front is very low and it won't fit over kerbs when parking and you have to watch very uneven roads but there does not appear to be any problem with speed bumps at all.
Not a car to sling around corners but scarily fast in straight lines and sounds great. A good balance between a poser super car and one you can actually use .

Don't worry at all. I have a coupe with SDP (which lowers it further). No problems with speed bumps, bar one. One that one, you approach downhill and the road flattens just after the bump - it is on the exit (coming down the bump) that it scrapes (and only if you are not at a crawl). I grounded it a couple of other times, one at warp factor 10 on a bumpy B road (the scars there show that I am not alone - many other cars have grounded). The final one is on a downhil approach into a car park. There, angling the final bit solves the problem.

Where I live, we have possibly the most severe speed humps on the planet! A neighbour has had a DB9 Volante for around six months, uses it as a daily driver and to the best of my knowledge has not had any problems.
