Differences between DB9 and Vanquish
Discussion
I'm sure this has been asked loads of times so I wont ask you good people to write it all down, but I'd be grateful if you could post some links to any sites that show the difference between these two models.
Ive looked at various fotos etc and apart from some cosmetic changes externally and to the dash, I'm trying to find out why the Vanquish is more expensive/desirable.

Two big differences: the DB9 has an auto box, the Vanquish is a manula gearbox, both with paddle changes.
The Vanquish was made at Newport Pagnall by hand- it took them 60 hours to paint the car, which is as long as Porsche takes to build the 911 Turbo. The DB9 is built at Gaydon, and uses (whisper it) a robot in the process...

That only tells one half of the story though as both have an option for a proper manual gearbox if you want one.Well, apart from the engine, they where completely different cars.

Good frickin question! I had a Vanquish and know many DB9 owners and have driven the DB9 many times too.Without going into some lengthy and ultimately meaningless post, I'd say the following.
Same engine. DB9 has a better interior. DB9 is easier to drive. Similar, very similar performance. DB9 has a longer lasting clutch.
The Vanquish is made by men with hammers in Newport Pagnell (ex home of Aston). It feels bigger, more planted and tighter to drive than the DB9 (in my opinion).
Is it worth so much more? Hmmmm. Probably not - but then again....!

Ive noticed quite a few vanquishes (or is it vanquii :-) ) advertised as Auto's ... is this just the dealer not realising the paddles on the Vanquish are manula or is there also an Auto available?
The Vanquish will drive in semi-auto mode, via a button on the dash. However it has no torque converter so will not creep forwards and nor can you hold it on a hill. Put it in first, take foot off brake and the Vanquish will roll backwards on a hill. It's not an auto. The gears are selected via paddle (as you know) and then changed manually via an aircharged unit. When you open the drivers door of a Vanquish you'll hear a whining noise - that's the air being charged up.
