Hi

Can anyone explain the 'spec designation' (if thats the right term) associated with the V8 Vantage. For example, I've seen people referring to the 'MY' car, which seems to be a slightly changed car built from the middle of 2006.

All help appreciated!

"MY" refers to Model Year & most manufacturers (including Aston) will add improved developments (some minor some major like facelift models!!)to their cars each year. This often falls in line with the autumn plate change/factory holiday periods, so from September in the UK! Although due to past tradition changes are often manufactured slightly earlier in July/Aug for delivery in the UK (mainly but not exclusively)on the new number plate.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for that. So you're saying the cars tend to change around July/August, or on a 5x plate, so that a 56 car would be more likely to have improvements than an 06 car?
