Hi all,

I've been a PH lurker since around 2003, when I bought my Z4 3.0. Around two years later I got the 'Aston Bug' when I first saw the AMV8 unveiled at Goodwood in 2005.

I finally test drove one today at Lancaster Sevenoaks for the first time! I've swung back and forth so many times between the V8, a Gallardo, and a Ferrari, but it was an easy decision... I put down a deposit on an 07 with 3,000 miles. (Well after some haggling anyway!) My gorgeous Fiancée is happy too, as she’s not too keen on the Ferrari/Lambo culture.

So... Within about a week hopefully, I'll be the proud owner of an April 2007 V8 Vantage in Meteorite Silver! It has the phantom grey interior (with coarse stitching), piano black fascia, heated seats/windscreen, tracker, alarm upgrade, blutooth phone, bright finish grille, sat-nav, power-mirrors, parking aid, etc. In all, I think it would have been just short of £90k when it was sold new 6 months ago, and I got it for £77k, including having new Ventureshield covering fitted (£600), a Xylenol <?> wax (£600), new mats (£200) and new personalized badges (£200) all thrown in for free! It doesn’t have the 19” wheels, but for some reason, I prefer the fussiness of the 18’s.

I'm sure I could have bought something a little cheaper privately, but the dealer spent hours patiently walking me through everything (over two different days), and taking me for a long test drive, so I don't think it's a bad deal? Besides, while spoil a dream by quibbling over a few K? Salesman have children to feed, franchise-owners have Rolexes to buy smile

Wow I can't wait! I'll search these forums for insurers, fuse 22 info, etc before I repeat any annoying questions smile However, if you feel like imparting your wisdom, feel free!

Locki.
