2005 Vanquish - Good idea?
Discussion
I've just been offered a 2005 55 Vanquish for £85k. It's seal grey bu8t that's as much as I know. Getting the other details soon. It's via a dealer who is a friend of a friend. He has taken it in part ex and just wants what he allowed on it.
I'm looking to have one for about twelve months. Thereafter, will have two children and will reluctantly have to get a Range Rover.
Seeing as I want some fun for the next year, I'm not too bothered about losing the money but will it be hard to shift. I've never driven one but people I know rave about them.
I was going to get a DB9 but this looks like a deal that's too good to refuse.
Any thoughts?

I bought a 2005 / 05 Vanquish S last week and use it as a daily drive (through London!) -- no problems at all if you drive it right and don't face much crawling traffic or hill traffic which the clutch does not like
If you can stretch to the S is very much worth it -- if not, make sure for 85k odd money you get an SDP Vanquish (has the S brakes, steering and suspension set up as well as lighter 7 spoke wheels all of which greatly improves the car)-- there are 2-3 SPD's for sale in the UK right now - check them out before you buy a non-SDP
Hope this helps -- welcome to the clan!

ps. if its a 2005 / 55 Vanquish it has to be the 'S' version, and if you've been offered an 'S' for 85k its the deal of the decade (or its damaged or stolen) -- check it out
Not quite. A friend of mine is trying to shift his through the dealers and they won't give much more than circa £60k.Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
