I'm having a 1959 Facel Vega restored and its time to choose the colour? Originaly it was silver with red. If I go for too light a silver I will lose the effect of the stainless and the crome. What was the Bond DB5 colour called and does anybody have any good pic's???? Any other idears appreaciated. Thanks for your help.

Silver Birch (at least in its modern incarnation - there is some dispute as to whether the modern Silver Birch is particualrly original) has a hint of green to it. Perhaps best to test it against the red interior.

There is a much darker Aston gunmetal called Black Pearl - that is stunning with red interiors, IMHO.

I know people may laugh but I currently have a Volvo S80 in what's called Oyster Grey Pearl and it's a stunning colour - hints of silver and hints of gold, so good in fact that I'm considering having my Aston done in it!

Is it possible you could get me a picture? I'm open to all idears and help at present. It has to go with the red leather though?
