More advise needed on buying DB7
Discussion
I have now viewed 2 and driven 1 DB7 Vantage Volante's , both were very nice cars but the differences between them in spec is making a choice difficult.
Car 1: 22k sports exhaust, touchtronic box, larger sports wheels, drilled pedals and foot rest, park assist.
Car 2 : 10k standard auto, and none of car ones options
I know I can add some of the options to car 2 but don't really want too.
Question? is the auto box the same basic box or is the touchtronic more than just 2 extra buttons? any other advise would be welcome as I have now narrowed my search to a Vantage Volante upto £50k

I believe the box is the same. Whilst not a touch on the TT2 system in the DB9, I would have a TT over the standard auto anytime (and a manual over the TT).
Car 1 "appears" the obvious choice. Sports Exhaust is a must. TT over normal as I say. Take care to ensure the wheels are proper AM wheels and not some after-market swaps; DB7s are VERY particular about what wheels they run on.
Whatever you do, get the car inspected properly (by Rikki Cann for instance) before you part with any cash.

I have a sports exhaust on mine (Vantage coupe) and to be honest I rather wish I hadn't - it's a bit leary, and if you want that there are other more obvious cars.
Tiptronic in DB7/DB9 is a manual over-ride of an auto gearbox, whereas Vanquish is a manual box.
I'd decide based on: Colour, condition and history the options aren't the thing that make you happy when you drive them.
my 5p worth!
