Well,
The roadster has finally arrived - the coupe was played safely with a very traditional Aston feel to it, so for the roadster, thought lets go a little crazy and go personal...

so here she is! very pleased witht he way it turned out - i was very very nervous! but i love it!
Many wont - but its not their car! smile

heres the pics! i await the comments!

thanks and regards

Congrats on going for what YOU want. Very refreshing. Whether I like it or not is irrelevent IMO. Enjoy!

hehe

It is great though to see people getting what THEY want rather than worrying about the day they will sell the car on the day they pick it up!!

I wholly defend his right to have his aston in any colour scheme he wishes - it is, after all, a basic tenet of aston ownership of "dont just buy a car, have one made"

To my eyes, the roof is the problem -- but thats relatively easily fixable of course.

Brave, good on ya....agreed everything is stunning, apart from the roof, but I am thinking that looks better in the flesh

yeah i agree with you all - i mean i toyed with the black hood for a long long time, the RED wasnt available, so i then decided black ... once Aston called and said they are making my car with the 08 spec - that included the red hood - so i thought about it and thought, what the hell -will be dangerous as hell, didnt know what it would look like ... but ... im pleased the way it came out!! smile

Thats AM Edinburgh isn't it?

Saw your car at the weekend, wouldn't be my choice of colours but the red hood works with the rest of the colour scheme well. First time i'd seen the black wheels too, very nice.

Most impressed with the people there too, very knowledgable and helpful, thinking of buying there instead of our more local dealer.

Good on you for being brave and not following the herd thinking about resale.

Personally, think its a great colour combination and interior looks stunning.

Although not sure on the hood colour, but imagine looks great in the flesh. Coming from someone who once ordered a tvr in orange, with a navy hood, navy leather, orange stitching, stainless dash and orange dials says something. Oh, with navy wilton carpets and orange leather trim. rolleyes

Like it or not, it’s very eye catching. Much more “hey, look at that!” than “there’s another one”. Good on yer.

That is absolutely stunning mate. Love the colour combo.

There are two vital things missing though, because of which I could not have that car.

1) Gear stick
2) Clutch pedal
