Buying a used Aston DB7 Vantage?
Discussion
A local dealer has a 2001 DB7 v12 vantage (auto), 56k miles, famsh @ £32000 which seems to be a reasonable price and I'm tempted.
The auto is the std box rather than the "touchtronic" - a manual box would be prefereable as it's the full monty 185mph rather than the elctronically governed 165mph of the auto (not sure if that applies to both the std 5 spd and the 6 spd touch box?) - but the speed thing is a bit academic due to the anti speed culture rife in the UK today...
Are there any DB7 owners who can comment on the drive on a std auto boxed car? and any other useful pointers when looking at a db7?
Cheers

Have a look at this months classic car magazine, it has a what-to-look-for section on the DB7. As does "Classics cars for sale" or somesuch- its in celaphane with a booklet on future classics.
Also, have a look at the AMOC website.
In terms of driving, its a great autobox, and hardly any slower then the manual- unless you drive everywhere at more then 165mph, in which case you wont want one. The acceleration is almost identical, its just the top speed which is limited
Also, watch the narrow footwell: they dont duit every driver
But I love one, and I'm seriously thinking about selling my DBS V8 for one.
