Does anyone know who carried out the conversion on this car or whether it is a special edition??

(for anyone up for a challenge spot the DB7, DB7, RS4 and Continental GT in the second pic!)

It looks like its body kit which is part of the the DB7 driving dynamics conversion. If it's done properly it should also have big AP brakes, rose jointed ARB drop links and fully adustable shockers. I think this conversion was available from Works service as an upgrade.
I think it spoils those beautifull DB7 lines. What do you think?

I'm not sure...I wouldn't say I am a fan anyway. Does that make it rare or just stndard with additions?

I am an Aston technician in Cardiff and thats only the second one that I've seen (appart from pictures) The other one that I saw was a 1997 volante in gold with a biege hood. The one in this picture looks better but it's such a shame to spoil those lines.

I agree, it spoils the lines. The front skirt doesn't appear to be flush with the wheel arch. The back end looks off to my eye. Corvettes have an acre of real estate from the lip of the boot down to the exhausts, it's one design element that has put me off an otherwise fluid design. The kit on backside of the DB7 makes me feel the same way.

It looks suspiciously similar to some of the Arden conversions that Racing Green offer on XKRs.
