HI- I would like the wing mirrors tightening, on one side need all rubber replaced etc -- Is this a big job any advice appreciated

Depends where it's loose. If it's the internal to the mount - the pieces that allow a "click stop" action to position the entire unit - you may have a problem if they're worn down. If it's the mount itself, it's DIY job with an allen key.
