Facelifted V8 Vantage?

Or is it a sportier version?

Looking good from the front
Looking good from the front
When Prodrive took the helm at Aston Martin, many people celebrated that fact that It was British again, and rightfully so.

When we spotted these spy shots we couldn't help but think it looks a lot like a facelifted V8 Vantage.

But is it just a facelift? Is this some kind of RS version? A lightweight car with a bit more power certainly wouldn't go a miss, but we don’t honestly know – but there are some cool new design features that we like.

The Bond DBS style clear rear light lenses make the black car look very slinky, as do the black wheels.

Even better from the back!

Also, after having a long, hard stare (gawp) at these pictures we think there is something a little different about the front end styling and the sides – what do you think?

Is it a mere facelift? Or has Aston got something special in the works?

Looks gorgeous but then again it always did. More performance under the hood is what it needs!

Looks like a chav has stuck 'lexus style' lights from Halfords onto an Aston - not nice.

Just what I was thinking, and a black car with black alloy is just to mush.

You can also see extended sills on the black car.
UK market cars do not have the orange running lights in the front bumper either.

couldn't this just be a customer-spec car, one to fit with the black DB9 parked next to it?

The current Vantage is at the top of my wish list, more power/ less weight even better....

But does anyone else think 'Hyundai Coupe' from the front....eeek!!

Now that's the very first time I confused an Aston for another.... FCUK!!!!!

I looked at the new DBS and thought it was the "new" V8 Vantage. Please forgett what I just said on the previous post.

Prodrive has not "taken the helm" at Aston - what crap.

To my mind the V8V featured seems to have a slightly raised bonnet. I wonder if this is just a mild facelift to meet forthcoming regs, or whether they have another engine under the bonnet...?

is it a DBS or a DB9 parked next to it at the Nurburgring?

But being British I suspect they'd prefer to put any extra power under the bonnet wink

Yeah that's what really ruins the DBS for me. If I was buying one I'd ask them to stick the standard lamps on instead.

I don't think so, they just look like the regular light clusters with clear lenses. The're still frosted, not like lexus style lights really.

I like them, though I probably refer the red.
