Just noticed this morning that the paint is getting rubbed away at both corners of the boot opening, not the hatch itself but on the bottom edge of the opening. Must be caused by movement whilst driving as the hatch doesn't seem to contact when standing still.

Has anyone else seen this on the coupe ?

not something that I've heard of, though I had some scratching on my first db9 that I put down to contact whne closing.

Ask on the AMOC forum too.

Thanks I'll keep an eye on it. Watched carefully when closing the boot and there is no contact as it goes down, clearance is about 2mm so can only really be happening on the move, probably going over all those speed humps and tables - can imagine they twist the car somewhat, especially those where only one side of the car goes over them.

I noticed this on my car before - the rear hatch definitely has a bit of play (when you're washing the rear window and put a bit of pressure on it, you can feel it move slightly). I adjusted the two rubber 'bungs' to try to stop this happening - it raises the hatch up a touch, so there'll be less chance of paint rubbing; seems to be working so far (though it can make the hatch more difficult to close properly).

I noticed the same porblem with my Vantage. Mentioned it to the dealer and it was fixed under the waranty. Only had it back a week so not sure if it has been resolved as yet.
