Is it a bit bling?

I've seen this on a roadster last week (sadly the roadster was snapped up before I could get in there) and I quite liked it.

Does anyone know if these can be retrofitted to Vantages?

It can be retrofitted, as can wood veneers. See the AMOC forum.

I have the std grey one and thats bad enough for showing up the dust...with piano black I suspect you would have to dust it every day !

..I do use my car daily ...but find the dash a nightmare for attracting/showing dust - it needs hoovering/dusting every week so I wouldnt want gloss black in there

I have piano fascia on my Roadster and find it much nicer than the black metal one which I had before in my Coupe. The piano black just seems to add a little bit extra to the interior over the standard fitting.

Dust wise its no different to my coupe with the standard metal.

That sounds good, recalls the 4,5 and 6's, but does nobody like wood any more?

I'm sure they can, I had satin carbon fibre added to mine by the works guys.

Does that not reflect up on the windscreen when the sun hits it or at night?

Not that I have ever noticed, so no.

Alright, thanks for that. It's just if ever I put something shiny (like a glossy covered road atlas) on the dash the reflective glare tends to annoy me.

I know it's all down to personal taste, but I had the carbon dash with black leather in my coupe, and the piano black certainly 'feels' more classier in my roadster with the same black leather interior.

I'm not a fan of the other styles of wood Aston offer, and with a black leather it goes well. With any other lighter colour interior carbon would probably be better suited IMO.

Chaps,

Was the carbon option difficult to arrange, or did your Dealer take care of things with the Works department ?

I've got my specification booked for next Friday and must admit, I'm getting pretty excited about it. I was going for the piano black fascia until I read this thread ...

I doubt that the dealers are going to say anything [even if they knew] about the Vantage Vantage (squared ?), however, definitely going to be enquiring as it would be gutting to collect say next Feb. and find a new model coming out in March ... Will of course post anything that I learn.

Thanks

Gone through specifications ... although had to ask for the Carbon Fibre option as it wasn't offered. Hardly an issue as I'm sure it will look great. Maff \ steveyg thanks for the heads up that this existed !

Cue: if anyone has any piccies to post ... the sample strip was only a few cm ...

On the subject of potential facelift ... thoughts of the salesteam were that it would very unlikely be a facelifted Vantage [would cost far too much to develop a completely new toolset for a low volume mark] and most probably is the Vantage S \ R that has been discussed. Although no clear timelines. Wonder if any announcements will come out of Frankfurt or whether we'll still be on spyshots for another few months.

February delivery ... How many minutes is that then ....
