Hi
Anyone (other than those advertised on the classified) selling their AMV8?
I’m looking for a 2006/7 model in a dark colour (grey, blue, black) preferably with black leather/sliver stitching.
I know someone who's selling a midnight blue May 2006 V8 with tan leather interior. 1,100 miles on the dials. If you're a serious buyer, mail me and I'll see if he's still selling it. Anyone (other than those advertised on the classified) selling their AMV8?

so you lost 20% in the first year from new..and through the trade? ..surely thats not *that* bad when most mainstream cars lose 30% in the first year and avg about 35-40% after 3 years ?
..if you buy new its kinda to be expected....I got a 1 year old/6K mile car from a main dealer a few months ago for £73K and saved about £15K on the original list price which helps take the sting out of it a bit...as I do about 20K miles a year in it, it will be worth bugger all when its 3 years old anyway !

no i didnt buy new it was 1 year old..if you buy new its kinda to be expected....I got a 1 year old/6K mile car from a main dealer a few months ago for £73K and saved about £15K on the original list price which helps take the sting out of it a bit...as I do about 20K miles a year in it, it will be worth bugger all when its 3 years old anyway !
i paid 81995 and this was the price give or take 1 k from all AM dealers i jumped in hasty
my point was i sold it through a local company who advertised it for me and they got 66500 for it and gave me 66 ( the guy is a personal friend)
if it hadnt sold the best trade big i got was 62 k but most traders AM dealers refused to buy or bid 60 k, this was my point
theses cars are not good news due to reliability and quality issues, however i loved to look at it and drive it.
i replaced it with a Bentley conti GT. this car has the reliability and quality that Aston should strive for
ah - right...so £15K in a year on a used one ..thats pretty crap....Im not even thinking about how much mine will be worth when its 3 years old with 45K+ miles on it !
..Ive had a few niggles too - nothing major though..just the squeaky belt and gearshift...both of which are service bulletins now. Its par for the course really with anything thats not robot built I reckon at whatever price - my other cars are TVR and Lotus so the Aston is rock solid in comparison
