I know someone who's selling a midnight blue May 2006 V8 with tan leather interior. 1,100 miles on the dials. If you're a serious buyer, mail me and I'll see if he's still selling it.

I'm not so keen on the silver ones. Looking for something darker

so you lost 20% in the first year from new..and through the trade? ..surely thats not *that* bad when most mainstream cars lose 30% in the first year and avg about 35-40% after 3 years ?

..if you buy new its kinda to be expected....I got a 1 year old/6K mile car from a main dealer a few months ago for £73K and saved about £15K on the original list price which helps take the sting out of it a bit...as I do about 20K miles a year in it, it will be worth bugger all when its 3 years old anyway ! wink

no i didnt buy new it was 1 year old

i paid 81995 and this was the price give or take 1 k from all AM dealers i jumped in hasty
my point was i sold it through a local company who advertised it for me and they got 66500 for it and gave me 66 ( the guy is a personal friend)

if it hadnt sold the best trade big i got was 62 k but most traders AM dealers refused to buy or bid 60 k, this was my point

theses cars are not good news due to reliability and quality issues, however i loved to look at it and drive it.

i replaced it with a Bentley conti GT. this car has the reliability and quality that Aston should strive for

ah - right...so £15K in a year on a used one frown ..thats pretty crap....Im not even thinking about how much mine will be worth when its 3 years old with 45K+ miles on it !

..Ive had a few niggles too - nothing major though..just the squeaky belt and gearshift...both of which are service bulletins now. Its par for the course really with anything thats not robot built I reckon at whatever price - my other cars are TVR and Lotus so the Aston is rock solid in comparison wink

15k depreciation in the first year may seem a lot but in percentage terms is similar to other cars. Just imagine if you had bought a VANQUISH!!

3 things:

1) What spec?
2) Pictures?
3) Was the price horrificly low or high smile

Looks like a stunner. With the plethora of nearly new models around it's mad to pay retail on a new one.

I wonder where the V8's will settle down to, for the long haul?

Wow - that does look stunning..

But the tales of quality issues just put me right off.

I have a TVR T350 and that was not great.. frown and had thought AM V8 would be a safe place to put money.. guess it's no Porsche yet (although would not ever buy one of those).
