V8 Build times

Seeing as the wait for a new car is the hardest part, I've been tracking my new Roadster and I thought others who are waiting might like to know some *rough* dates between the status changes that the dealer receives as it moves through the factory.

I haven't tracked the whole build, but at least it gives a rough idea of how long it takes from conception to delivery for a V8 Roadster:

DATE: STATUS:
...... 1) Car is allocated to dealership
...... 2) Order is placed against allocation
...... 3) Order is "accepted" (drop dead date - no further changes)
4th 4) POD Date is assigned (date production will begin)
7th 5) Body in Build
14th 6) Ready to Paint
...... 7) Body Painted
...... 8) Commenced Assembly
...... 9) Engine Installed
...... 10) On Wheels
20th 11) Trim Installed
...... 12) Offline
22th 13) Vehicle Complete
...... 14) OK to Ship.
28th 15) Delivery to Dealer (UK)

Yes, that ties in nicely with the fact that my dealer told me yesterday that my Roadster is 'in trim' and will hopefully be ready for me on friday week!

Oh and coyft, believe me I know where EVERY high wall, narrow street and tunnel is between my dealer and home!!
