Congrats to all Astons racing at Le Mans this weekend and to all the fans that cheered them on!

Yes well done for the huge team effort, and funding, for the historic result.

Now that they have won Le Mans, hope to see AMR continue to campaign the DBR9, or whatever Aston model comes next.

Anyone hear Radio LM? They interviewed one of the main guys (sorry, don't recall the name) and he said they had a few more things they wanted to achieve, one of which was an "outright win". The studio guys interpreted that as an insinuation that a prototype was on the cards.

Anyway, congrats AM - especially getting all 6 finishing too thumbup

Shame there were no TVRs to add to the british element, excluding1959 its the best result since 1935 for Aston, but then it was an English company then.

Agree, hope someday TVR's will be back in the main event again, not just in the LM classic smile

I get confused (easily done!) with all the various classes running in Le Mans!

so am I right that..........

Audi won outright.

Lola Zytec won the next class.

Aston the GT1.

Porsche the GT2.

The correct order would be:

Audi won outright.

Aston Martin Racing car 009 the GT1. (and was 5th overall 007 came 8th overall)

Lola Zytec won the next class (mainly privateers)

Porsche the GT2.

Another major achievement was all 6 Astons entered finished, even the Privateers. Astons unreliable.....never!

I did get very excited over a prospect of an Aston Prototype when the Radio Le Mans chaps mentioned it.

Was again another fantastic year.....capped with me and another Vantage (with a car bra on!) in the Rouen tunnel on the way back causing soo much noise my ears were ringing the next day!

I'd like to see AM competing for outright honours, preferably with a Diesel.
