Fuse 22 - grinny stuff
Discussion
Taken a while, but since I just smashed up my 911 into a million pieces, I thought I'd give the V8 more attention. It took one polish (not Polish - polish) wash to realise I needed to remove No.22. Now instead of driving off the drive, doing a 3 point turn in order to reverse into the garage, I take it out for a 15 mile run first........drive like a hooligan - mostly in first gear, so I'm not speeding whilst doing about 103dB down the high street. Damn I love this car even if it is a bit slow - still only about 2k miles before I can upgrade and I'm off to Le Mans with my fave salesman from Stratstone next weekend so all the time in the world to talk about upgrades.
yep - I really am all grins - I now have a Mercedes summik as a courtesy car on my drive, which is massive, and feels like driving a coffin. It handles like a canal barge, then I take the AM out and everything is all better again.
I can only think a tubi'd Fezza or a Lambo would sound so good, and I would not be allowed to get away with doing what I am doing, since it is not my car, it belongs to MI6 (or something)

F-car also sounds epic (needs a decent exhaust - mind you, have heard a Tubi on a V8 and that wasn't too shabby either). Different type of noise, and the Vantage is one of very few cars that I reckon equals them.

And there you have it - the difference between the Aston and a Porsche. Used to wail through the village here in first gear in my V8. Then got a 997GT3 and did the same and a tree hugging, Guardian reading neighbour 'politely' hinted that it was a bit anti social. When I pointed out that the Aston was actually louder he said "ah yes but that was such a beautiful car, it can be forgiven!"Pugsey said:

When I drove my daughter to/from school in my 911 (dark blue 996 Cabrio with spit rim alloys and GT bodykit ), nobody gave it a second glance. I turned up at a sports day last week and parked alongside the playing field perimeter- within seconds ALL of the events had ceased and hundreds of kids were galloping towards me and lining the fence gawping at the DB7 VV !
