I have asked this question here, since I will doubtless get a stroppy lecture from the AMOC for not knowing the answer if I pose the same question there. The part of the AMOC forum that relates to DB7's is called "Bloxham". I know this word for nothing at all, and my wife knows it for there being a splendid girl's school there who were regularly beaten by her school at ALL field sports.
We drove thru Bloxham yesterday, having had a few days away, and I must say that I saw no conceivable reason for any part of the AMOC forum being called "Bloxham". It is a very pretty village. Does anyone know of any connection ?

Bloxham is the village where the DB7s were made. They were put together in the factory that used to make the Jag XJ220 through TWR. Bloxham Mill (the old factory) is now a business park with several related to the car industry. I think the road is also called Vantage way.

It is common practise amongst Aston Martin cognosenti to actually identify eras of production of various models by quoting the Factory they were built in.

A girl's school that did hunting, shooting and fishing ?
Wow, what a source of understanding wives.

Oh, my friend, but they did hunt and shoot and fish, since they had a riding club that was affiliated to a local hunt, they had an archery club whose members could skewer a squirrel at 50 metres, and to this day my Missus ( who was inspired by this school, although she didn't attend it ) beats my record for both brown and rainbow trout taken on the fly ! My rod caught salmon record, though, well exceeds hers', although I had to borrow Eric Clapton's stretch of salmon river in Norway ( where only two people can normally fish - Eric, and the King of Norway )to beat her !

In blathering on about useless trivia, I omitted to say thanks for the interesting replies from other members to my original question. Sure enough, I did see a Vantage Way Industrial Estate, so I guessed that there was a definite Aston connection.
Cheers,
