My 06 V8V is suffering badly from stone chips on the rear arches. Now the summer is on its way (or maybe not following this weeks appalling weather) I wanted to get her all sparkling and shiny again

I consider this a design flaw because the later cars have the mud flaps.

I’ll get 'um retro fitted on the next service.

Wanted to check if anyone has managed to get the stone chips repaired under warranty? My dealer say’s they haven’t managed to get any through as yet…

mud flaps are an option I think and not standard

all cars get stone chipped eventually

I dont think mud flaps will stop them completely - the only way to be sure would be to get Armourfend etc all over the place

I have it on my Elise as it does a lot of trackdays/sprints and the paint still looks like new ...but some people dont like the look of it - seeing the lines etc if you are not careful when polishing etc

I think you will struggle to get it under warranty at all...just imagine the cost if they do every car ever produced...I will turn up in my car and get them to do the bonnet too as it miraculously has failed to repel the stones

My dad got his done under warranty, think they ended up painting most of the car. Massive job, they stripped most of the car down. They told him they won't be doing it again, Mud flaps are an absolute must.

Mudflaps or preferably Venturesheild (as it covers other parts i.e. bonnet and bumpers if you don’t mind the lines) are a must otherwise a re-spray will be inevitable.
