Just heard mine will go into build first week in June - which is what Dealer has been predicting for quite a while to be fair. Anyone else heard yet?

You're going to miss using your brand new convertible during what could be the last month of Summer weather, just for the sake of a registration?

Hope for your sake that it's an Indian summer!

Good news - but I think you're quite mad missing out on all of Aug. for the sake of a reg. It'll still be an '08 spec car and a few years down the road it'll make no difference at all to it's value. Driving around in 'this year's' reg. car only lasts six months now anyway - if that sort of thing matters to you.

What colour and spec have people gone for?

I have a friend ( shut that door !)who has a July confirmation, as yet he is undecided to take it to Nice for a rendezvous in August . He has specced black/black.

Bet you can`t wait Pugs .

( $69 k buys you a late model high spec Z06, buy one in the Las Vegas and take in the sights ?)

Hi, yes I'm getting excited - I've ordered in extra hairspray, suntan lotion and gold medallion in anticipation of a summer leering at the ladies!

Funnily enough a friend has just come back from a conference in Las Vegas and spent some time in a Z. He's a die hard Porsche man but is now looking into importing one. Go on Mikial - you know you want to!

Strange that but of course having not seen/met you I figured you late thirties, similar to the husky guy in "Two Smoking Barrels " , well trimmed short hair , so "extra" hairspray implies you already have some which points to a Russell Brand sort of chap with a hairy chest and a large gold cross tangled in the coils.....excellent , have fun.

In that case there might be someone out there who's due to receive their car in September who would appreciate swapping build slots with you (if it's feasible and not too late on the speccing front). I'm sure that you could come to some agreement...

It would also mean that you'd get a newer car that hadn't been sitting around anywhere for as long (as well as saving a few bob on insurance and tax).

Unfortunately I don't know of any such person, but it's worth a thought. It just pains me to think of a brand new Roadster sitting in a garage throughout August!

Fair enough - I withdraw my suggestion that you're quite mad. Things will probably work out ok for you anyway - I'll take a bet that your '1st Aug' car will prob. arrive nearer to 1st Sept. anyway.
