This is the first chance I have had to post a pic of my recently acquired V8. I'm a little obsessive about detailing hence the delay. It's meteorite black cherry and I love it!

Beautiful ! Congratulations. These are the best looking cars ever imho. Just out of interest, what detailing products do you use? I'm using Autoglym at the mo, and was wondering if anyone had any better ideas?

Autoglym is fine, it is what I've used (Super Resin followed by Extra Gloss). I also used an orbital polisher to burnish the surface to a mirror shine. Menzerna polishes (106FF) coupled with a white/green lake country polishing pad are adequate for removing most minor paint blemishes.

Take a look at detailingworld.co.uk for tips!

Could I prevail on you to expand a little on the menzerna polish. Is the kit you mention suitable for common-or-garden obsessives such as myself to try out at a weekend, to get a really good shine on the car. I have a car which I am trying to buff out some light scratches on.

It all depends on the severity of the scratches. I used the finer polishes with an orbital polisher (PO85RD and PO106FF) and have also used them byhand them after wet-sanding stone chip repairs.

A pic would be most helpful!
