The car in question is not an X Pack, it is a 1984 V8 Vantage that was bought from an insurance company with the front stove in. It was repaired correctly but the paint leaves something to be desired, it is not concours as the ad describes.

It didn't start life with the X pack engine - so is probably not rare as described. Very high mileage too.

I know all this because I saw the car at the insurance yard and know how badly it was damaged, know the man who fixed it, have pictures of it before and after being fixed, know the man who paid to have it fixed, know the man who saw it when doing an inspection last week, and because I have all the build sheets for Vantages and know exactly how they were built. Any more questions, oh and by the way X pack engines didn't exist in 1984, they were called South African spec and one of the first is fitted in NDA's car. Here's a car that may be of more interest, it does have a special engine fitted by the factory with the very rare 50 mm Weber carbs. www.rikkicann.com/Vantage%20V8%20york%20red.htm

In that case I suggest you contact the owner who had the car restored and request he send them to you. As he sent them to me I would consider it bad manners to forward them without his permission.

99k miles per se is not high mileage for a 20 year old car. Its only 5k per year which is a good usage figure.

99k on original engine is another matter. 10k miles on mine (rebuilt at 82k) is fine.

In this particular case, it says "new engine" and its a 6.3litre. But are my eyes deceiving me, or is that standard bore air trunking?
