I have a 2007 model AMV8 and am having real problems with the seats. Fine for driving up to an hour but any longer and they become incredibly uncomfortable. I cannot work out why as they seem to have a good range of adjustment - but just cannot find a comfortable position. Never experienced this with other cars.... anybody having simialr difficulties??

Nah. Have done a couple of 2hr+ stints thus far.

However it did take a while to get the position right, and every now and then I do adjust it slightly.

Have you tried different combos of height, rear rake and steering wheel height/proximity?

What are you finding uncomfy?

I get lower back pain that causes referred leg pain, in fairness I have had back problems in the past but never experienced any issue with car seats so was somewhat surprised and a bit frustrating... will have to live with it but would be interested to drive the 05/06 models with the previous seats to see if I get the same issue.

Are you a member of AMOC? We did the 2007 seat discussion there and I made a few recommendations that worked for other people. Check it out.

I'll have a look for that as I find the seats pretty uncomfortable too.

Interestingly, I have a 2006 Vantage as a courtesy car today and I find the older style of seat much more comforatble then the 2007 version in my own car.

Besides the old ones are much better looking IMO.

I have suffered fron exactly the same symptoms as you describe. You may need to fix your back rather than the car. You should try a session with a good sports physiotherapist. By that I mean not just a rub down from some attractive little girl, but someone who will really sort your problems out. I was advised also to roll a smallish towel (to a diameter of 2-3 inches - no more) and place it behind the small of my back. The benefit of this, compared with the many cushions you can buy is that a. it moulds to your shape b. it tucks round the corners. It made a huge difference to me. After a bit of treatment you may not need the towel in sports seats.
