What are DB7 V12's, DB9's V8V's and Vanquish's like on fuel

V8 Vantage.
77 litre tank.
Sub 12.5mpg at the moment!!!!!! No real motorway use yet though.
I make that around 214 miles for about 74 quid.
Have to say I was a bit shocked at this - my 1970 4.4 V12 even does 14mpg (it'll do about 400 miles on a tank at a cost of 125 quid!).
But the smiles are priceless

You can thank catalytic converters for that.
Right, V8V, motorway cruise saw me get 600km from a tank (80 litres) once. Sorry if you still speak imperial and not metric, unfortunate
Hooning around town (and there is no other way to really drive a V8V!), I think around 350km - 390km from a tank or so. But it's worth it.
Last night I was cruising at 160km/h and the OBC instant consum showed 17.2 l/100km, which I thought a bit high.

Gents - if the Porsche owners see us chattering like a bunch of old maids about fuel comsumption we'll never hear the last of it !!!
Yes it's an issue but we drive the worlds most exclusive automobile and we shouldn't be giving a single thought to something as mundane and inconsequential as mpg.

As an Aston owner (at least for another few months) even I see that statement, in every sense it could be understood, as mildly doubtful.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but in the interests of the debate which marque do you consider to be the worlds most exclusive?
Astons are undeniably beautiful (with a few exceptions), I'm not denying that, however exclusivity is surely based on production numbers i.e how frequently a car is spotted on the road, and this is sometimes directly linked to price. I'd go with a Veyron or Mclaren F1 probably, as you might see one per month if you're lucky, I see up to 10 modern Aston's per day, anywhere I go. I will pour over a 70's Vantage or a DB5 but with the modern cars I'm getting to the point where I just don't give them second glances, its the same with F360's, but that's just me.
