I posed this question this time last year when thinking about my next new car.

I got plenty of positive feedback including from a very helpful guy who works at Gaydon. I wasn't looking for a weekend car but one that could be used everday. With all this in mind I ordered a black DB9 - cream and black interior, diamond cut alloys etc.

So what happened.....firstly you don't need to wait 2 years. With a little work on the phone I was offered a 2007 car for December 1st which was delivered to my door complete with a very helpful Aston person to talk me through the controls.

The car has now done over 3,000 miles and has been perfect in every way. The rattles I expected haven't really materialised and beyond a creaky brake pedal the car has settled down beautifully. First service carried out by Works Service - I'll be going back to them in future. Contrary to Clarksons bull I can easily fit my two kids in the car although no room for the missus - well you can't have it all.

The car goes to Tesco's shopping, gets parked up where ever it has to go and the only emotions it seems to stir are ones of admiration....even from hoodie wearing yobs.

So....not much else to say except that there isn't another car on the road I'd swap my DB9 for!!

I have a DB9 that I bought new back in October 2006. I did not need to wait for mine either as provided you are prepared to take a standard colour they are relatively easy to get hold of. Mine is also black with cream leather. I have used mine every day and have now done 8'500 miles in it. I have had no trouble apart from a minor niggle such as the rear seat folding mechanism breaking and this was fixed under warranty. Apart from that is has been equally as reliable as my previous everyday car which was a Porsche 997, except that people stop to admire a DB9 whereas people resented the Porsche. If you get an Aston you do have to get used to complete strangers asking to sit in it though!

I must admit I was fortunate in ordering the car as I was able to spec my own. If anyone out there wants to do the same - call as many dealers as you can...bug them as they get cancellations every day and what they want are confirmed orders - have your £10k ready to send!

You can't aside from your profile, you upload your pictures to one of the free hosting sites like imageshack
http://imageshack.us/ & then copy the images location & paste it between [pic ][ /pic] e.g
[pic ]www.imageshack/picture1234.jpg[ /pic]
Sounds a pain, but isn't really, best of luck!
