V8V's becoming 'loose'?
Discussion
When mine had a service in January this year the technician upgraded (flashed) the ecu , I thought I detected a slight difference in throttle response and performance. Since then and now with seven thousand miles consumed I confirm there is performance improvement, added together the "flash" and the loosening of the components are responsible.
Read your feedback with interest, only just turned 1000 miles on mine and still feels tight. Only just starting to push up above the 6000 RPM mark and she's sounding pretty good.
One thing that concerns me is the amount of stone chips I'm picking up. For hardly any miles on the clock the front is covered in them.(Bumper, bonnet, front wings and rear arches) It's as if the paintwork is made of putty wher the smallest touch of gravel takes lumps out. Whats your experince with a few more miles under the belt.

I'm at 1,300 miles and have picked up a few scuffs and nicks.
Am going to get them sorted at the 1k check then seriously consider film on the front.
Suspect a combination of causes:
- modern water based paint not being as hardy
- lots of painted frontal area to catch stones
- more and more crap road surfaces for stones to be chucked up from.
Rear seems to be fine thus far - but I have stoneguards fitted.
Think I "just" need bonnet, bumper, lights, front wings and wing mirrors protecting.

I'm at 2200 km and have no front pock-marks but had a few on the rear fenders so put on the "mudflaps" this week. I got my car in October and put it away for the winter in December. When I first got the car my impression was that the paint was very soft, as mentioned this is probably a reflection of the water based nature of the paint. The good news is the paint seems to have hardened up over the winter while the car was in storage.
All low, streamlined cars of this nature are prone to stone chips. You should have seen the front of my 14 year old NSX in black, it looked a bit like the Milky Way.
Best advice I can give anyone is to give lots of distance to the cars and especially the trucks in front of you on the highway.

I've come to the conclusion that the more you worry about these things the more likely you are to be hit by flying debris as I was today.
It's happened twice now, in the space of a couple of months, with two new cars that had less than 2000 miles on the clock; I stay back from trucks and keep my distance when following anything other than a cyclist and I still get hit by something flying through the air. Today's event resulted in a rock that hit the very front lip of the bonnet, just before the grill starts, and as well as removing the paint I'm fairly sure that it's also 'dinked' it....
I want to keep this car pristine but I also want to drive it....the more I drive it the more I worry about the next rock encounter!
Note to ones self...stop being so paranoid, it can be fixed! Now just get out there and enjoy!

Cheers guys. Think I need to invest in some of those wing arch extensions which limit the stuff thrown on the back arches and have a look at that film protection for the front end.
Got a few runs through Europe planned in summer incuding SPA GP and Nurburg ring so want to avoid that "14 Year old Nissan Milky way" look when I'm done!!!
