Just spent a couple of days tearing around Provence on the Roadster launch. VERY impressive for a ragtop - extremely stiff and with zero scuttle-shake all the feel of the coupe. With the roof down the noise is astonishing and, I believe, it's even better looking than the tin-top. If you've got your name down for one you won't be disappointed. I drove both manual and sports-shift versions and, while I'd still go for the manual, the auto is light years ahead of the set-up in the Vanquish.

As Bez himself said to us over dinner, "this is a bloody good car".

During a recent visit to the factory a senior engineer told me that the Roadster benefits from suspension and and steering mods that are so effective that he considered the Roadster to be the drivers choice over the current Coupe until the Coupe gets the same mods later in the year. I'm looking forward to June!

That's great to hear. I'm swapping my coupe for a Roadster in August (then driving to Italy in it in September, which might mean the 1000 mile service over there, but that's another story!).

You jammy b*gger, had the Roadster been as wobbly as the DB9 Volante, you could have lost your shirt on this one, as it is you'll likely re-sell at list (or over!) again, nice one. Can I borrow your crystal ball its obviously a good one!
