AMV8 Questions

I am picking up a June 06 AMV8 at the weekend and the dealer offered me two mods which I initially agreed to, but am wondering if most people have these done

1. Permamently open the butterfly valves on the exhaust

2. Remove the front number plate plinth and atttach directly to bumper. The grill is more visible.

I will basically only have a few hours to change my mind. Its the second one I really not sure about.

Definately the exhaust.

Number plate... originally this was not advised as it effected air getting to radioator for cooling I believe. Maybe that's changed. It's not a big issue just depends if you like the plate where it is or lower down!!

1. yes, a must !

2. I prefer leaving the plinth as it has already saved my grill from a parking indescretion.
(it cracked the plastic plinth rather than the body work or expensive grill)

Thanks guys. In the end I have left the plinth as Shady's comments about protecting from minor knocks was what I was thinking. Agreed about exhaust especially coming from an unsilenced 550.
