...they seem stonking value for money at the moment.

Cheapest out there seems to be £22k - for 75k miles. Do they wear the mileage well? Do they have any known achilles heels?

Thanks

They still have the running costs of a £100K car though, but I'm sure you understand that. Servicing interval is every 7,500 miles if I remember correctly.

They can be hard on suspension, engine and gearbox mounts so it is good to check whether any work in this area has been carried out. Also check that the airbag warning light doesn't flash - I believe it is a well known fault that can either be easy to fix or something of a nightmare.

Many more owners with advice over on the AMOC forum. thumbup

Ah Mr C, I'd forgotten that you ran (run?) one. They seem to be pretty understressed and should have benefitted from the customer driven improvement programme that the DB7 went through in its earlier life....

Past tense - swapped for Pork.

They are fabulous cars - you really should try one. They look gorgeous, and the engine is a real peach. lick Six litres and 48 valves at 7,000rpm has to be experienced ...

Yup - GT3 MK1 - another on my list...

Got any track days booked up yet?...I'll be at Cadwell 23rd April with a bit of luck and looking for an airfield day to shake down the R500 before then

Even at 75k miles it should be more than £22K for a DB7 Vantage, at least £10-£12k more. Are you sure that wasn't a 3.2 i6 (discontinued in 2000 after the 1999 Vantage was introduced)

If possible the DB7 V12 GT is the best one to go for, but they still go for around £45-£50k I think.
