I obtained my V8V in July last year exchanging a 360 F1 as part exchange. The Ferraris` predecessor was a gt3 mk2, I also drive a 996 tt. Glancing surrepticiously at the Aston, parked where I can see it from every available angle , I want to touch it , wash it, drive it and shag it. No other car makes me , or has ever, tented me, even hitting the perfect approach shot for a possible birdie cannot do this . It`s automotive porn , everything must be done to ensure this is my car for ever , I`m even contemplating spending an insane amount of lucre with Prodrive, I won`t because I believe AM will produce a hardcore version which I will sell my soul to buy. I adore my V8V.

Have you noticed that a lot of the new wave of coupes echo the Astons` lines ?

My apologies to all for sitting on the fence on this but I find it difficult to be emotional when referring to a lump of metal, (even when it`s sculptured to perfection in alloy and composites, blessed with the soundtrack of Richard Pettys Superbird, an interior that's pure luxury and the best car I have ever been fortunate to own ) although I will say that yes , I`m very fond of it .

Incidentally , I`ve fitted after market halogens from PIAA( www.priracing.com for online purchase, delivered the next day ) expensive but they do improve the illumination ,they draw 65 watts as normal but have a far superior white light, more so than the originals.

mikial,

It's nice to read a posting like that on here, rather than some guy having a bitch because he has a chip on his shoulder.
Likewise, I'm extremely happy with mine and love driving it.

Why not pop down to Hants soon and join us for another hoon?

You wicked wicked man, have you no sympathy for the poor souls that are about to part with their own automotive mistress!

At the weekend I washed & waxed her ready for her new owners & just stood looking at that gleaming curvaceous body thinking.....what have I done. I'm getting rid of Laura Jones (Tombraider = Angelina Jolie) & am getting in bed with
Brigitte Nielsen!

Now I know that Brigitte will win any straight fight, but she doesn't quite provide the visual beauty that Angelina does, so it is between AMVV8 & 997GT3.

Any way torture aside I share your feelings about the Aston Mikialcry!

You`ll love it Grant, just as much as the V8V , can`t equate Brigitte Nielson to a gt3 though, I`m thinking more athletic , not a huge looker .....getting a picture of a javeline thrower , big power, light on her feet, and a winner in the big arena and been around a long time with good traction and a big rear end.....thats it.................. Fatima Whitbread . clap
