I have just bought a 2001 DB7 Vantage Volante and take delivery in two weeks time. Is there any reason to think that the car would benefit from a headlamp or bulb upgrade ?
If so, does anyone have any suggestions ? Thanks

Steve,
i think as Clarkson said(not about Aston Martin in this case);
the headlights produce a glow like small pools of urine
Certainly mine do especially in the wet.
Bulbs are the only realistic upgrade

Hello John,

The dealer who supplied my DB7 Vantage Volante tells me that it is impossible to upgrade either the bulbs or the lamps in a DB7. It does seem far-fetched, but since he specialises in DB7's ( Aston Sales of Kensington ) it kinda make it hard to argue.
What do you think ?
Cheers,
Steve.

Roos Engineering does a xenon upgrade for the Vanquish -- maybe it can be fitted to the DB7 Vantage?

AM personal seem reluctant to offer advice in this department. To me it seems scandalous in the first place to equip any high performance car with inferior illumination , Porsche have addressed the situation eventually along with many other manufacturers. There are many aftermarket producers of HID , all thats needed is to identify the bulbs your particular car has fitted, ie V8V ( 2005) has HID as dipped beam but main beam consists of H9 65 watt Halogens.

Try this wwww.priracing.com then go to PIAA for bulbs.
