Having had a Prodrive breathed on Impreza, I would say get a drive in it. If the Impreza was anything to go by the suspension might be the thing to go for, as it will be heavily optimised for UK roads. It was astonishing compared to the standard car.

However when it came to resale the things that added vaule were the Performance Pack and the Wheels

Sounds great, but nearly £19K for the lot. yikes

I wonder if there are 'special prices' for their AM stuff as compared to Subaru offerings ....

Having been lucky enough to try these mods I would go for the suspension mods. They make a really big difference to the way the car goes down the road and consequently to your enjoyment. The engine mods do make the car feel sharper but as we all know the reality is that you need pretty large dollops of extra power to make a real difference in performance figs and I'm not sure I'd pay that money for a difference which will be mainly about 'feel' as opposed to actual real gains. Put it another way - IMO a V8 with the susp. mods would walk away from a standard car. A V8 with engine mods. probably wouldn't show much of an advantage.

Any word on whether the exhaust will be offered separately?? Would be an alternative to Fuse 22...

(My V8 joined the production line on Friday. Roll on 1st March!!!!!)

Eastleigh and Essex at the moment. I've just sold mine so we're looking for a move in the area. We often frequent Berties

All hoonage offers sounds great (if we can wait until March, that is )

Just had a last minute offer of a factory tour tomorrow morning (which I jumped at, of course!) Hopefully I'll get a look at mine on the line, but is there anything else that anyone wants me to look out for??

Nothing too adventurous. Meteorite, Phantom, coarse silver stitching, 19s, HID lights, stereo upgrade, bright grille, heated front screen, cruise, auto dimming mirror, bluetooth... Main point of contention is lack of satnav. I wasn't keen on the system, and as I will be putting reasonable mileage on it, price should be the differentiator when it comes to 'upgrade' time. That's the theory, but time will tell. I did change my mind, but too late as production was brought forward by a few weeks.

I'll get snooping tomorrow re: performance mods and report back in the evening!

==========================
Had a great time looking around the factory. Nothing forthcoming about any changes for 2008 model year though. Some pics of the cars in the atrium are HERE

I'm a year away from ownership, so just tuned in to this forum.

ears Surprisingly sharp bark - very similar to the six in my current TVR once de-catted & sports exhaust fitted. Good when you're in red mist mode, ideal that they've kept the switchable exhaust for cruising.

Lovely - Grant did you record that yourself - and if so how, because I wouldn't mind doing current beast - or did you find it somewhere.
Yes, why is this font bold?

I suspect it's Grant's cunning plan to avoid wearing his specs - probably still in denial poor old boy!
