Having just posted an unusually heavy reply elsewhere I thought that I'd lighten the tone by wishing you all a very Happy Christmas. With a (very few) exceptions it's always been a pleasure to come on to the AM Forums which generally seem much more reasoned and good humoured than the Porsche boys who have a tendency to descend into bouts of 'mines considerably bigger than yows' at the drop of a hat. Thank you for putting up with comments from someone currently enjoying the harmonies of a flat six. I'm looking forward to being back behind eight cylinders next year!wavey

party

Likewise, Seasonal falicitations to one and all as well

Generally a good bunch on here and I even enjoy the odd sniping attack from the Porsche boys
It's considered sport I guess hehe

Nothing to do with the Hoff, just proof that Santa loves cars too!
Anyway if GM buy Aston that could be the new 2008 AMV8!!!

Lets hope someone with taste and money does. Latest thing I heard from Ford they are planning to roll out the 'Mustang' brand globally, with coupes, 4-door saloons, estates, 4x4's. They reckon us in Europe are gagging to buy a useless dearborn dustbin in red with stripes that looks as if its been designed by a Disney cartoonist. Yeah, like the PT or maybe a Cadillac or a in Dodge viper. I'd so much rather have that than a Cayman S or a 911 or an XKR. NOT (As Borat might say)

Useless tossers. Is it any wonder they're losing £3bn a week or whatever it is. Makes you wonder how they did such a good job on Jag and Aston.

How is a Daimler Chrysler product related to Aston Martin or the Ford group's new strategy in any way? Just because Ford MoCo are planning to expand the Mustang line doesn't mean that the Aston's or any other FMC car are going to all be mustangs does it? If so, then I'd expect the Fiesta and every other Ford group product to also be a V8 RWD car.

I just fail to see the point in your rant, as the mustang brand is already being rolled out across the world, and will not be replacing Jaguar and Porsche's existing products or force you to buy one? confused

Edited to add: keeping on topic, happy Christmas everyone.
