Hi all, I'd like to think I'm plugged into competitive quotes, but would be interested to know the best you guys have found on Aston (AMV8) or similar. Currently at around £800 all in, have tried A plan but they were nearer £1100, best appear to be Privilege, Admiral & the like!

Thanks for your help, look after the pennies & the pounds look after themselves!

Cheers.

If you've got a quote for £800 you've done very well I reckon. Mine (AMV8) was £940 with Robert Flux (who are well worth a try). I am over forty now, no points or claims and the car is garaged in Hertfordshire, limit of 6k miles per year and £500 xs.

I think you have a bargain, who was the £800 quote from?

£800 is a good price mate, snap his arm orf.

My V8 is on a group policy with my Beemer, through Chubb (via Cheam)

Maybe worth trying Cheam, these guys are top notch. Speak to Mike on 0208 652 7733

Cheers Spencer, Norfolk & Shady, I will try Cheam , used to be with them in my 996TT, but they got expensive, worth another shot though! I'll let you know how it pans out & pop the best price in this thread.

Pugs.... a cheap shot my man, that "wholly appropriate" number plate was only a semi-cheapy from DVLA, maybe we can do a deal when you get the Roadster & I'm GT3-ing???? I'll give you a good deal Guv!

May take you up on that - don't missunderstand my prev. joke - that no. actually made me smile and private plates usually make me sneer I'm afraid. Although the plate on the V8 the factory loaned me when mine was being sorted was pretty cool to - AMV8 no less.

I promised to let you know the final best "deal", this was with Admiral, a fair bit less than £800 in the end, but then as I'm an old git over 40, they probably took pity on me! The other two that came close were Norwich Union direct & Privilege, A-plan & Cheam were both well over a grand. Although cheapest isn't always best (I didn't try the direct lines/Tescos etc etc) they did all seem to offer similar cover, except the brokers were offering more personal input should the worst happen! As they say you pays your money & takes your choice & hope the worst doesn't happen!
Merry Xmas.

You've done well. Obviously if the car isn't insured in the Russian federation (!) which part of the UK are you? I'll try Admiral in the new year.
