Hello,

I was just wondering can you get the AMV8 without the aerial on the back? It's the one part I feel spoils the lines, and I prefer the DB9 which has no such erection!

Cheers

I'm sure you could spec 'no aerial' if you order new.

I guess the worst would be a flat grommet.

Personally I like it (but I'm just sad, and like erections yikes )

edit to add... pic taken today... aerial hardly makes a no-sale!

I spoke to a chap at the Works Service a month before the AMV8 release and he told me that an internal antenna was not possible due to reception, it could well have changed by now though.

eta: I believe its the same case for the new XK.

I wish I could see the picture but work firewall blocks it.

I agree - the aerial would not be a deal breaker! However I am nowhere near setting up a deal so I don't have to worry just yet. I'm still at the dream phase! Just wondered really if you could have it without, but I guess not. What about a shark fin?! hehe

Sharkfins on BMWs are for SatNav not for radio reception.

Actually they're for the telephone.
