Now a really stupid question - how practical is this car? Is it worth looking into a weekend away somewhere? Currently in a 996 which has a surprisingly large amount of room on th eback seats, but cant find any interior pics of the AMv8 coupe to see how roomy it all is?

All help greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Very practical indeed, the wife and I did a 2.5 week tour of France and Spain in ours and we had loads of space, and the wife does like to pack a large amount of clothes. We even managed to fit in 40 bottles of wine from Bordeaux on the way back.

If you take 2 sets of clubs you'll either have to leave your clothes or the missus at home.

Basically there is a small amount of space behind the seats, but the boot is about three times the capacity of the 996.

If you get a mid size flight bag (the largest size they used to let you carry on, it fits nicely behind the seats...) well the one I have does. As it is not really the weather for Naked Golf...

Very true - golf is being played while she is away, but of course one of the guys im playing with wants a lift

So i guess for 2 sets of clubs, 1 goes behind the seats, the other between the passengers legs!?

I have a full size tour bag and it fits in the boot fine, but only with the shorter clubs (up to about a 5 iron) in it. The rest I can take out and lay across the open hatch including driver.

This was my first test when I went to the dealer last weekend. Everything went fine after that!

My Taylor Made carry bag (with prop stand) fits in the boot perfectly with the driver taken out, I reckon you could get another bag on top as long as it wasn't a tour sized bag. The driver then fits nicely diagonally across the boot. You wouldn't get a trolly in.

[resisting the obvious quips about taking drivers out and putting them diagonally across the boot]

So you have a V8 and you're going to leave it in the Golf Club car park for a few hours?

I have it for 2 weeks

I leave my current car in a car park, so why not this one?

Plus, its winter now, and they would be most upset if i tried to take it on the course with me

I meant, can't you play golf when you don't have an Aston on loan?
